"In the Currents" by Star'te, 16 | Under the Surface 2019
I have always believed in the impossible. In the new, in the different, in the currents. I have learned to push through even when I’m afraid to drown. Life is a flood, actually it is the flood. Each day you swim you get faster, stronger and braver. The flood is what you think it is. If you think you will drown then you will but if you strongly believe that you will conquer the wave then you will, because it’s about the diver that was willing to take a chance even when it wasn’t the right one. Whatever you do remember “just keep swimming”.
About Star'te: My name is Star’te and I am 16. Before I came to NWP I was out of school and not on a safe road, or any type of road to success. Most of my actions have caused me to fall behind in my studies. In my time at NWP I have proven myself to be responsible and hardworking and I am now trying to complete high school with a diploma.
