In 2010, a teacher at Northwest Passage and professional photographer, Ben Thwaits, brought to life his idea of using nature photography as a therapeutic outlet. These photographs represent the beginning of a program that has impacted hundreds of children, helping them find beauty in the world around them, and within themselves.

About Devin: "My name is Devin. I'm a 16-year-old sophomore from Madison, Wisconsin. I've lived in many different foster homes throughout the state of Wisconsin. I am currently at Northwest Passage and am going to live with my grandmother. Photography is a big part of my life here because it is something I enjoy doing and not have any worries."
