"The Flower" by De'Vante, 16 | The Pioneers
Life is like a flower,
it blossoms so beautiful and bright.
But sometimes it’s hard to shine
without the sunlight.
This flower is so strong
it continues to grow and grow
but it goes nowhere, as it’s pinned to the floor.
As the years pass
no one hears it cry.
Alone the flower will live
And alone the flower will die.
About De'Vante: "I'm De'Vante, I'm 16, and from Madison, Wis. I've made mistakes in the past, but now I'm working on getting trust back from my loved ones. Photography has helped me express the artistic and creative side in me, and there's no better way to do that than taking pictures out in nature."
