"Splash" by Jay, 14 | Prairieview Nature Photography
When I took this picture I was thinking of the water being me, ad the rocks being a roadblock. And when the water splashes over that roadblock, it symbolizes my overcoming another obstacle in my life, I am overcoming my fears.
About Jay: "My name is Jay and I am 14 years old. I was brought to Passage for doing things I had no business doing and having poor communication with family and friends. InaNewLight has shown me there are different ways of expressing my emotions, may that be group therapy or taking pictures. At first, I don't like taking pictures and being out in the woods. But it really does help, and it gives me an opportunity to experience the beauty of nature all around me. The thing I will remember most from IANL is allowing people to see things from my perspective, and how happy that makes me feel. My favorite photo is "The Rare Lilac" because I never thought I could find something so beautiful outside where it rains and snows. I am extremely grateful for the experiences and opportunities In a New Light has provided me with."
