Newest Light: Sadaf, 15 - "The Road to Elsewhere"
The first thing I thought of when I looked at this photo on my little camera screen was the book, The Giver. In this book, the people of the town are basically like robots. They are forced to take daily medication that rid them of any emotion whatsoever. The emotions they think they experience are superficial and they don’t experience them to the extent of which we do. Regardless, the Elders of this town are released to Elsewhere when they get too old. Elsewhere is believed to be an amazing place, almost like a paradise. Although Elsewhere does not actually exist, the hope to one day go there and be treated like royalty does. That is what my photograph stems off of. Hope. Hope that one day, after following a particular path, which will be different for everyone, I will end with happiness, joy, and most importantly, satisfaction with my life.
