They always told me the ways and stories of Mother Earth.
How the grass, the trees, and forest are her skin.
The oceans are her soft spots.
The sweet soil keeps her together.
And how the water is her veins, the thing that keeps her flowing.
Without her water there would be nothing left.
That’s why we all have to take care of her the way she’s always taken care of us,
even when we turned our backs on her and didn’t give the attention that was needed. She is why we are here today, we need to cherish that.
We need to take care of what’s left of her for the next generations.
