"A Big, Big Heart" by Aniyah, 14 | June 2020
I may look gray. I may look dark. But under all that darkness is a big, big heart. A heart that’s hurting, a heart that’s scared - scared that everyone will leave her, that nobody will be there. It seems like all her life A seemed to care and that hurt seemed to build up into an unbearable despair. So she built up a mask that scared others away. It was really lonely but she was tired of games. All she wanted was to be told she was okay but everyone who saw her always walked away. She may look gray. She may look dark. But underneath all that darkness is a big, big heart.
