"Melting Away" by Star'te, 16 | January 2019
I started off cold as ice, broke like a shard and frozen in time. As I melted away the ice gave beneath my demeanor and façade. Melting away because my anger raged strong enough to end all of humanity. I’m still melting away stuck between a rock and a hard place. Forced into hiding and expected to keep my mouth shut I did. I’m still melting away, I found celeste in a place I still can’t comprehend, I found it in myself. I now see who I am and who I am destined to become. My name is Star’te and my anger is melting away.
About Star'te: "My name is Star’te and I am 16. Before I came to NWP I was out of school and not on a safe road, or any type of road to success. Most of my actions have caused me to fall behind in my studies. In my time at NWP I have proven myself to be responsible and hardworking and I am now trying to complete high school with a diploma."
