In a New Light: Wildlife Safari - Aaron - "The Fall Grouse
"I like this picture a lot because you don't really see many good shots of a grouse on a regular basis. This bird looks relaxed, and very calm and comfortable with its surroundings. Yet it also looks very alert and aware with everything going on around it. The colors of this bird are very warm and vivid, a nice fall picture. It's almost as if the grouse is saying, "Hey, check out my colors and how ell I blend in with everything!" Even though that statement is kind of contradictory in itself, it's really couldn't be any more true. Every grouse that I've come across are usually traveling by themselves. The way this bird is acknowledging me take this picture of it is just amazing in my eyes. My feelings of this bird translate so well into the colors of the decaying leaves and dull tree branches all around it. This definitely is one of my favorite picture that I've ever taken, I'm in love with it."
About Aaron: "Hey my name is Aaron. I've struggled in the pat with drug use and getting along with my family, which has brought me to NWP 1. The reason I love photography so much isn't just because I'm able to express myself freely, it's mainly because I can be who I want to be through my pictures. I love being able to show my family or friends all of the pictures I've taken through the week. I like to be able to take pictures of anything i can, especially in nature, because nature is absolutely beautiful. Photography is something I'm definitely going to use for the rest of my life because not only does it tie in perfectly with my hobbies and interests, it can be a healthy way to express myself."
