In a New Light: Wildlife Safari - Carlos - "Roads Unknown"
"Looking at the land reminds me that I am free. It's my choice on where I want to go. There's a million possibilities on where I will end up, but it makes me think that I don't know where or what will be at the end of the outcome. Some may call it fate, but I think you still have the choices on where you start. That you're free, and you always will be, no matter what the outcome. The choice is yours. New horizons are dawning, and don't fret about roads unknown, because that's life."
About Carlos: "My name is Carlos Z. and I'm 16 years old, and I cam to NWP from North Carolina. I enjoy art, music and guitar. I came to NWP to work on my struggle of controlling my emotions. I've had troubles with this my whole life. As I've worked with the staff and therapist, I've become a new version of myself where I am able to control myself and make the right choices, instead of listening to my emotions that grabbed my brain in tough situations. Now I am closer to the future I want and being a great son, brother, citizen and teenager. In a New Light has given me the control and better insight to make those choices through photography. I have come to realize that my life is worth living, and enjoy those small miracles of a perfect world. Even better, you choose what those little miracles are that make me feel like I have been blessed by being given the power to notice them, which could be a beautiful photo or a newborn child. I recommend finding yours and In a New Light and photography will get you there."
